Who is The Stone Specialist?
The Stone Specialist is a locally owned and operated Gold Coast business run by Nathan. We polish, restore, seal and repair natural and engineered stone for homes and businesses across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW. We’re not a franchise and we don’t use call centres.
Will Nathan do the work himself?
Yes. When you call, you speak to Nathan, and Nathan is the one who turns up. He inspects your stone, explains what’s causing the damage, gives you a fixed price and does the work himself — no subcontractors.
What areas do you service?

What types of stone do you work with?
We work with marble, granite, travertine, limestone, bluestone, sandstone and engineered stone — floors, benchtops, vanities, walls and outdoor areas.
Is it better to restore stone than replace it?
In most cases, yes. Etching, dullness, scratches, chips and cracks can usually be ground, honed, polished or repaired back to their original finish. Restoration avoids the cost, mess and downtime of ripping out and replacing stone that still has a lifetime of use left in it.
How does your quoting work?
We start with a free on-site inspection so we can identify the stone and what caused the damage. You then get a clear, fixed price with no hidden costs and no obligation to go ahead.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. As well as homes and apartments, we restore and maintain stone in offices, restaurants, retail spaces and other commercial properties.
How do you protect stone after it's restored?
We finish with premium penetrating sealers that help repel stains without changing the look of your stone. We’ll also explain how to care for it so the finish lasts.
What if I'm not happy with the result?
We’re not done until you’re satisfied. If something isn’t right, tell us and we’ll make it right.
